Yep. We had a little kindling fire this afternoon with the installers, 80+F and 80+ % humidity and it drew a draft super easy. This evening we waited until the temp dropped down to below 70F (brrrrrr!) to build a "real" fire. Easy draft, solid secondaries and primary air all the way down in 10-15 minutes. All windows open and all ceiling fans on high to vent the heat and paint fumes. Mrs. still has clothes on though, so I might need to put another log in...

One last post for the night, a close up of the enamel finish. I feel like a kid at Christmas.

    Yes, double wall.
Low 50's this morning. Fired up from coals this morning and left the wife with a cozy warm house.

WoW mike bayerl what a beautiful setup! You and your wife did an excellent job choosing such a beautiful stove and the installers did a wonderful job as well.

Do you need a heath pad or anything to meet that particular stove's R rating requirements? I am not familiar with the specs.....

Great job on the pics, I love 'em

Thanks. There is a glass ember protector. No need for R-rated insulation in the hearth pad. Actually, I put my hand under there with the stove up to temp and the glass on the floor was dead on room temp. Same as the floor many feet away.
