Great job Kaptn, need some instructions on how to ignore the honey do list. Every spare minute last few weeks has been spent finishing 95 % completed projects. like trimming out basement door well 6 inch door interior trim where it meets up to 10 inch concrete wall. you got to make trim as they do not sell it. Me door opens shuts works not high on priority, wife come on now it's been 5 years! get off tablet 10 minutes and complete it. OK doors done.. now on to wainscoting not too bad... just time consuming and a lot of knee work.. Rather be splitting
x2 I'm pretty good at it.... but something's are higher on Lovely Wife's priority list then mine. Also doesn't help that when I am 40% done with a project, she is on to the next in her mind. I keep telling her we can't burn logs, wood needs split and stacked.... but the HD list keeps growing.
Is it a coincidence that "honey do" and Home Depot have the same initials? Almost every one of her projects has me wasting time (with her) at Home Depot trying to pick out colors, patterns, trims, etc... KaptJaq
We only have Menards and Lowes close to us... but same principle, go in to pick up some materials, and poof at least an hour is wasted.... I hate those places.
Here's an idea.....create your own HD list.......................for her. It's just crazy enough, it might work.
I love toy stores. do not do the shopping thing. her idea of a date is home depot Christmas tree shop, diner and home once a month great wife.. life is just funny got a sliding door on top floor replaced it 2 years ago told her I wouldn't finish trim til it stopped leaking.. Almost finished trim today get 40 MPH, wind and 3 inches rain in less than an hour, door leaked on new trim, 2 trees down and gravel driveway is gone. trees cleaned up blocked out back waiting to split. came in to go get diesel for bota, box blade she dog and daughter are in bedroom watching Disney in AC... told her trim not finished today!
I was told that it was three different maples. Silver, sugar, and something else... One large tree (24"+ base), and two smaller trees (12-18" bases). KaptJaq
Geeze, I can certainly relate to the honey do lists. I have so much to do and so far behind but every day it seems something has to come up that "needs done."
Knee work is not bad, even on a concrete floor, if you put out a few bucks for some decent knee pads.
And stacked... Now I have to clean up my work area. It is hard to tell with all the bark and chips but it is gravel. One more small load, about a cord, and I will be totally finished. I'll probably be a week late this year. I usually like to be done before June 1st. KaptJaq
