We need the rain pretty bad, storms expected wednesday, but hopefully nothing too serious. Stay safe everyone in the bullseye.
Over 6 inches of rain the past week. Had a cloud build over us today as we sheared animals that poured rain and hail for 40 minutes. We don't need anymore rain for a while!
I don't care for thunder storms at all. We have had way too much wind here lately, now thunderstorms. Don't park you cars near trees!
They downgraded us this morning to marginal, can't seem to figure the timing of this band that soaked Texas yesterday.
My wife REALLY wanted to go hiking yesterday, so she was checking the forecast every 20 minutes. And every 20 minutes it was a completely different forecast (100% chance of rain, 15% chance, 80% chance with thunderstorms, 20% chance of showers, etc). We decided to chance it and went hiking, and all the rains stayed north of us about 20 miles. It was sunny and beautiful out all day, which meant I had to water the flower beds when I got home as we need a little rain as well.
I quit watching the weather channel. They have to sell advertising. So the weather reports change way too often. Why? If you knew the weather was going to be sunny and 65 for the next 10 days, would you watch the weather for the next ten days? Me either.
I agree, my wife loves to use The Weather Channel app, and that's where she was getting her information yesterday. I've found that Weatherbug is more accurate around us but it's not a name she "trusts" so my wife refuses to use it.
Well, we did get a nice rain. Haven't yet checked the gauge but it did rain hard for a while. Nothing severe though around here that I know of.
We had some heavy rain last night so I took a ride through the woods today, we don't have any water sitting around in any of the low spots. I walked up a hill to the hung up Beech and the leaves on the ground were dryer than your wood, we have some rain coming in but we're on the dry side.
Maybe TWC app is better than the Made For TV weather channel. I have been using Weatherbug also on my phone. Seems pretty good, but the radar maps run too far behind to use it for up to the minute alerts
