The bee keeper came and took his bee boxes from the blueberries behind the house yesterday. He came earlier than usual (mainly comes after dark that way all bees are back in the hive). Well apparently he left a few behind and they're pizzed! I started stacking in my shed this afternoon and noticed a honey bee buzzin around me. Didn't think anything of it and kept swatting him away. Well that little sucker got me right on the top of my forehead and of course i had a split in each hand. Can ya guess what happened next? Yep i wacked myself in the head with an oak split . I don't know what hurts worse, the sting or the knot from the split . After he got me i stepped out of the shed and realized there's 50-100 bees swarming the top of the shed. Guess they don't know where to go now so my woodshed is the hotspot. This means WAR!!
If they are swarming, they may be gone in the morning. We had that happen a couple years ago and there were a lot of them! Gone the next day. But, I didn't whack myself in the forehead over it.
Dish soap and water. Put it in a sprayer and the soap will stick to their wings and they fall to the ground. End of bees.
That may be the best laugh I got today. Thanks Backwoods!!! Just laughing with you Smokinpiney...I hate bees. The wife thinks she wants to get into honey bees. I told her she could as long as they aren't on our property
Well I was able to take back the wood shed today. They moved on, guess they knew what was best for them! Got almost another cord stacked tonight as the sun set.
