OK Horkn...you threw down the gauntlet! (The site is a little slow anyway!) Ahem...
Those chocolate colored goats in the pic look just like candy baas.
Looks like that goat nearest the camera is getting ready to make a ewe turn.
A goat that eats office supplies is on a staple diet.

Fish, how did the beetle get into your company? Where did you find him?

Thanks go to my wife, but it's already changed up. They're re-doing I-70 again, this is my commute home for the next few weeks....again.
Weather was good on the West side, crappy on the East.

My work property is surrounded by pine and oak forest and I am outside most of the day. The beaver population is flooding wetlands even more causing die-offs of the trees. I was impressed by the size of the beetle and I wanted to identify it and see if it was invasive or not.

Woodwidow, that looks like it was a great time with many memories made.

Yes. I understand they can build up wetlands for other animals in the ecosystem and create nesting areas for herons and wood peckers in dead trees, but there needs to be some regulation. When they start to jeopardize property, intervention is needed. The population has definitely exploded across the state.

yes, responsible wildlife management is very important but misinformed people in this silly state make choices on subjects they know nothing about based on emotions and that solves nothing.

The added beaver ponds can't be helping the mosquito population either...

Would you like a side of West Nile virus to pair nicely with your Lyme's disease?

Beetle, I'll be blasting through there next month. How long and what part is the construction? (May interfere with my low flight level plans!)

We had a beaver dam up the spillway on one of our retention ponds at work. Caused the water level to go up to the max and almost flood the parking lot after a week of heavy rain. There are 160 hillbillies (myself included) who work in this building who could have given that beaver a dirt nap in one day for free but we had to call in a specialist and pay $4k to have it relocated.

Beautiful morning here. Cool and sunny. Grass is knocked down. Grammy's eyeing the raised beds. They might make it thru one more season before the sides blow out. I'm driving 2' re-rod pieces down to try and hold em together. It's a tiny garden compared to many serious folks on here, just 4- 4x9 beds, but more than enough for her to have fun with along with her few flower gardens. The japanese beetles drove her crazy last year. But the deer left everything alone. And, we have a lot of deer wandering by.
