Beautiful view. Is that all ash or is there other hard woods mixed in?

I'm not good at ID'ing wood, but it was mostly all ash. Some beech and maybe an oak(?). The ash split great.

Never had any ash to split but I hear it splits like red maple, easy going all the way through.

Ash is a good wood, doesn't burn as hot as oak hickory or locust but it does dry so much faster.

I had somewhere to go. I'll measure tomorrow. I will say that it seems that finer splitting, which I did, takes up more volume.

Really? Before I started stacking on poles, the bottom layer was a soggy mess, sunk in the dirt. It got worse with time and wasn't stacked in a low/wet area. I would put the bottom layer on top of the next years stacks.

Nice stack. Huge. Are you feeding an OWB?

I got 8.11 cds. That's taking into consideration the sloped ends.
As I said, I believe that it's on the high side because I split small-more air.

Well, I have to do an inventory, but this 2015 is sitting next to the 2014 and 2013 cubes, and there is a fair amount of other stacks. I burn 4-5 cords a year, so.......

    14 stuff for 16/17.
    So this is 8 cords & it's for 17/18 & 18/19

    Yep, you're a horder !

    Just looks good :D

I'm a worse hoarder than that. It looks like I have 20 additional, well aged, cords. So, the 2013 cube might be 4-5 years out!
