agree with a couple of the above, lose the weights, it will handle better. unless you let the grass get out of control the bagger is not needed. nice unit.

I can't see needing the weights, I am on flat ground so I probably will.

I'm like a kid wanting to ride his new bike... woohoo grass cutting!!

I might be that way once i get my new one. Once though, I still don't think I'll like mowing.

A lot of the commercial guys around here run stand ups (majority ). But this is pretty flat ground. And as far as speed? A commercial stand up rivals a walk behind in speed. At least the several I have ridden (my dealer let's me have run of the lot. I test drive everything that is Dixie, Bad Boy, or Ferris/Ferris has a mean stand up/sit down. It's like an old computer chair/ For those that understand what I am talking about).

The primary appeal of a stander over a comparably priced hydro walk (because they are essentially the same mechanically) is that they take up less trailer space and are faster out in the open because it isn't limited by how fast the operator can run behind it.

You wouldn't think that how much room it takes up on the trailer is a huge deal but to a lot of companies it is. It means fitting 3 machines in the space of two or being able to run a smaller trailer. A 16ft trailer is a lot nicer to tow around suburbia than a 20+ footer for sure.

Around here, standers are not real popular. I see a few here and there but only on big company trailers like US Lawns or Brickman. Even then it's usually with crews that are working commercial accounts and not residential stuff.

Dex, you gotta get on a WAM someday. 80+ HP, 11ft cut, 3 decks, and AWD. Sometimes you just gotta get 'er dun.

Very nice choice. If it is in good condition, it will be the only mowing machine you will need for many years. By the way. how about some safety glasses and a seat belt for the little driver.
