I don’t really want to do this, I LOVE this saw. But sometimes life throws you a curve ball & you have to roll with it. So here it goes,,,, Mastermind ported 661c. 12 tanks before port work 7 to 7-1/2 tanks since, so just under 20 tanks total. It does have the dawgs from a wrap handle saw. The saw is in mint condition. With the exception of one small scratch, maybe 3/8” long, on the top plastic cylinder cover. It's hardly even noticeable, unless you look at it just right. That’s the only blem or scratch on the whole saw! Other then that it's blem free. The sticker on the front of the case started peeling off, so I peeled it the rest of the way off and taped to the inside cover in the owners manual. I have ran the saw with both a 28” & 36” bar, it will pull either one like a freight train, with full comp RS chain!! Saw has a lot of torque!! I only had the 36” bar on the saw for maybe 4 tanks total, it pretty much lived with the 28” bar. Asking $1400 PHO. Saw will come as pictured PHO, with unopened tool kit, and owners manual. Any questions feel free to ask, Thanks, Matt
Sorry to see you having to sell your 661. I know how much you like it. Can identify with the 'life throwing you curve balls' thing...
I want to add, the price I set on this saw is not etched in stone, I will negotiate on the price. send me a PM, if your interested.
I wish you luck in your sale brother! I watched this man carry this saw at the Iowa GTG. He had a special blanket he laid it on when it was set on the ground. Hard to find a saw that was taken care of better. IMO
You noticed the blanket It's one of those forester bags you use for carrying in firewood. I've used it since the saw was new. I just try to keep them nice & not scratch it.
I was going to guess "moose pelt" Kudos to you for doing what needs to be done, and good luck with your situation. I'm on the lookout for and in need of a big saw, but my budget doesn't allow for that big of a price tag. Someone surely will snag this beast soon!
He told me that my new MS261c "always rode in the backseat when on the way to the wood pile, and has sat in my living room otherwise." I'm pretty sure he told it bedtime stories too before tucking it in at night. Y'all got about a week before I scoop this one up too!
Thanks for the heads up Clint. Sometimes I need to say NO. I have a great fleet of saws currently and don't feel like parting with anything to get this.
