Doin shots and shooting the chit with you and Dex was a hoot... Would be cool to get to Ohio in May.. But if that don't happen, I'll be at Wiggs' in September...
I plan on seeing you at Wiggs, now that the date changed. I am bringing you a bottle of bourbon my friend.
Ohio is a lock for me. September is going to be a tough one it looks like. I have to try to shuffle some work stuff around.
I filed a new chain to see if I could make a LP hang with 3/8" on my saws. Did the wood get faster or slower?
Wood got cleaner.. Yet slower.. But over all still right with earlier chains. Tune on saw was audibly different. Different weather that day? Or saw well warmed?
Wood cleaner......check Wood slower.......check( I verified with another test) Noticing the change in tune......priceless
Did somebody say burbon??? Saw looks good SF. Sounds good. Got any up-cut vids? I need to get my chains out and play around. September's gonna sneak up on me... Here's my 3ci I did last year. It's just a gas saw. Chain could be better..... Operator could be too. Lol.
I guess I'm gonna have to let the air out of the tires of my cant stand and practice. Looks good Wiggs.
That little husky is a runner... I'll need to bring strong medicine to keep up... I'll let ya know if I find any..
You want a real adrenaline rush try cold start racing. Everything else will seem ho hum in comparison. Down by wiggs used to be some of the best COLD START racing around. Murray KY 3ci 4ci 5ci 6ci HS. Here was the last time I ran my 3ci there 09. R.I.P. Dan.
Great work on chains OP, however those saws are what the boys at the Caledonia MN fair would call, "A good running stock saw". Funny how they new how to mix nitro off the top of their heads too.
Dang Wiggs!! I ain't bringing one saw to your place. Pretty sure me and SquareFile will make it! With just his saws.. I might bring one and go cut firewood up on the hillside lol
If I'm lucky, I'll have a 346 ready to play come September. And a chain for Levi to put on a certain 372 that's being wiggsified..
My 50 got whipped last year at my place by a 346. It's quite a bit faster now though, but not sure it's fast enough.... I did good at your place with it. It's a fun saw to run and has good manners as far as starting, idling and what not. Good torque too for a high strung motor. I wonder if the bugs and critters have taken over my saw shed yet. I haven't seen it in a while.
