We've got a 14ft finish mower behind the tractor. Not quite as big as that one Stinny . It still needs to fit through a few gates haha. It'll take me from 6:30 till lunch to do about 40-50 acres. And that's only about a 1/3 of the grass ;)

lukem we actually had the older model of that mower before. It was a cuttin machine but constant mechanical breakdowns ended it's mowing career. I may or may not have had it buried to the frame once or twice :emb:

The rain held off all day today. Coooool. I managed to get some stuff done.
First. I paid the bills this morning and got them in the mail. :faint:

Second. I stopped at the Wood Chop Shop to have them take a link or two out of a chain I bought that was too long. I think he took one or two out. Don't ask me how I do that, and then a year later do it again. :emb: Annnyywho.

Third. Then I took the deck off the zero turn so I could sharpen the blades. Ummm.:emb: I may have hit a few things with them, so I decided I better replace them altogether. They were in tough shape with a few "chunks" missing out of them on both sides. So I went to the store that my father bought the mower at 3 years ago. Lowes. They don't keep them in stock. o_O That is a special order item. :picard: So I left there when they told me it could take 2-3 weeks, and I said "What am I suppose to do with my grass until then?"  We had a laugh. I then stopped at Tractor Supply, which is on the way to The Wood Chop Shop(figured one of them would have them) and they had them in stock. $59 Put them on after I cleaned the deck good. It is cutting really nice now. So I finished the grass at the house and cut part of the grass back at camp.

Fourth. I prepped my wife's new mountain bike we bought her for Mother's Day. A mongoose. Tires aired up, gears and brakes tested, nuts on the axles tightened up. (Can you believe they don't do that before sale? I took it for a short ride in the yard and the rear tire started rubbing on the frame. Couldn't even ride it. Yup, nuts on the rear axle were loose.) Now she is all set to go.

Up early today. Stood to go to work(on call) all day. Sun came out and dried the yard out enough to now for the first time. Hauled the grass clippings to the city baler and lo an behold, found a bunch of green ash and american elm in 4 ft sections someone dropped off. I couldn't help myself, so I loaded in the wife's pickup and headed home with it. Told her I couldn't help myself! She totally understands this obsession I have. Finally called to work at 1945 to deadhead to Glendive MT. Long day again.

Just dropped Giz off at a new groomer we just found 3 miles from here. Heard about her from our vet. Giz started out just right by shriekin' as soon as she got in there... :picard:Of course, I assured the gal that Giz was a perfect angel most of the time after we leave her... We're home now... and I think I can still just barely hear her...

Ha... Giz stopped shriekin' when we left I guess. Groomers were great. Did a good job for less $, in less time, 5 minutes away instead of 40. Good deal...
