Hi everyone. My dad uses a Husqvarna 450 and wants me to find him a decent 50cc or so back-up saw. I'm starting to watch CL for a decent deal for him, but figured I'd see if anyone here has a saw they might want to sell that would fit what he's looking for - homeowner saw is just fine. I'd like to find him something like a Husq 51 or 55 in decent shape - cosmetics not a big issue. To be completely honest - he'll likely semi-trash the saw pretty quickly - he and I are complete opposite on saw maintenance and care, so......if you mentally need the saw to go to a good home, it might be going to more of a chainsaw detention center. Thanks! Cheers!

If honey fuzz's saw doesn't tickle your fancy, I may be your huckleberry.

Thinking of letting my backup's backup set sail but please consider HF's offer first. I'd bet that 162 is a dang fine saw, and from a good dude to boot!

Bump! I don't think Fuzzes 162se would be a good fit for my Dad (but I'd like to have it!!) - he is NOT a tinkerer and needs a basic simple saw and I think a chainbrake is good for him. RJames offered up a saw, but the saw ended up with a problem he let me know it wouldn't work out (at least not till fixed). So, I'm still combing CL for a decent deal for him - if anyone has been thinking of selling a decent 40-50cc saw, let me know what you've got! Cheers!

His 450 runs .325 - if the saw is rim 3/8, I'd convert to .325 so he could use his bar/chain on the same saw. He's not looking for two saws to have ready to use, just a back up for when his doesn't start, etc. Would be nice to not have to buy a bar/chain as well if I'm getting PHO for him. Let me know what you have in mind - still searching. Cheers!

Sure - PM me some pics and I'll think about it - waiting to talk to Fuzz about a saw, but still looking right now. Thanks.

NH, In my opinion, CD is a straight shooter. I haven't had any deals with him, but from what I've seen he's a good dude. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a saw from him.
We're probably neighbors and don't know it lol.
