First the forest fire, then my fishin/er trip on Friday then this...... The mrs and baby went to Philadelphia first thing this morning for the Susan G Komen run. After they left I took my bike out for the first time since last year. While I was getting gas she called and said she and the baby hit a pothole or something and took a tumble. Thankfully the baby was strapped in tightly but she still bumped her face and head a little. She said they emt's wanted her to go to the hospital just to get her checked out because of bumping her head. So I gassed up and headed home to drop the bike and grab the truck to head over to the city. On the way home the bike started billowing smoke from the exhaust and died. I got it started again and limped it home (my guess is either a stuck valve or broken oil ring). So here I sit in the er for the second time in 3 days . Baby piney is doing well (fat lip, small cut in gums and scraped cheek) but they want to watch her for a bit because of her age and the fact that she threw up a bit after the tumble. Hope y'all are having a better week than us!
Wow. Some days go like this but the whole week? Sure hope your wife and baby will be okay. Guess this is a good time to throw a prayer or two your way for the whole family. Prayer sent. Things will be better.
You should be good from here out Piney, bad luck usually comes in clumps, you've had your share, time for someone else to enjoy some.....................Glad Lil' Piney seems minor.
Ouch, yeah that's a rough week! Bad news usually happens in bunches. You should be in the clear now, hopefully.
Thanks again everyone. We were there till about 1pm and she's acting totally normal so all is well. The main concern was if she had a concussion. She's currently crawling laps around the living room . Momma is fine but upset with herself. I keep telling her, "don't worry I'm sure there will be a time I call you on our way to the er haha"
Wow.. A week you've had. Glad to hear that mommy and baby ended up fine. Hopefully you'll have a better week this week. God never gives us more than we can handle, even though sometime we think it is. I'll say a prayer for you and your family.
Yep, bad stuff happens in 3s, or so I've heard. You're due for a reprieve. Glad the wife and little one are ok. How's the bike?
Accidents happen! I hope she will stop feeling upset about it. Just wait til baby piney is starting walk and does not see her toy on the floor infront of her......... And I also have to commend her that lil one was strapped safely in the stroller, WTG momma piney!!
PS, my lil one did her first pull myself up to standing to walk on the couch cushion in my hubbys 1978 hunting trailer, and guess what ... We had been evacuated for over a week for forest fires and living in it.... It all works out and lil one won't remember
Gotta go through hell to get to heaven man! Glad young Piney and your wife is ok.......keep your head up, things will lighten up!
Still not sure what the problem is. Fired it up later in the evening and it ran fine. It's still blowing a little smoke out of the muffler but not nearly like it did earlier. Im still bettin on a stuck/broken oil ring due to how much oil is in the muffler. Probably gonna pull the cylinder this week and take a look.
