My car said 89 degrees while I was running errands on my lunch hour. Not used to those temps yet.

Today's record high for the area was 88 degrees, not sure if that was broken or not. Interesting to note that exactly 11 weeks ago, it was -19 here. 107 degree change in 77 days:bug:. No wonder it feels so hot.

On a related noted, we went out for ice cream tonight with the family. It was 85 degrees, with 35% humidity. I don't remember the last time I felt that much warmth, with that low humidity. It felt incredible. Usually it's so humid around here that you're dripping wet anytime it's above 75 degrees. I could get used to this low humidity.

Finally got around to my noisy Harman's auger to see what gives. Turned out it was the grease in the gearbox shifted to a lonely corner. You would think they would fully pack the gearbox but no, bottom line is to save money and the part to break down so it needs replacement for more money. Is there a special grease needed or any regular grease will do?

Starting this morning my auger is whining occasionally. I do not see anything in the manual about it or in maintenance. Am I missing something?

If you can unhook it from the auger screw and run it, if there's still noise then it's the motor/gearbox assembly. If noise goes away, then it's the auger screw assembly. Mine was easy to disconnect because it has a chain. Hope this helps!
