So few racers...Its probably cause most people my age rather sit on a couch in their city apartment and play on their phone or younger ones even only sit inside and play I pads and video games and watch youtube all day long.

So few actually know how to do anything. I run into lots if people my age that have no idea how to even begining to fix something let alone have interests even remotely similar to anyone on this site.

Also could be like Rookie said bad promoting also...but you would think most hardcore guys like that are on forums like these and therefore word will travel fast in places like these.

The guys that do these shows aren't running woods ported saws in the races. Alky/methanol/nitro fuels and stroked cranks in some stuff. Those 3120s are almost $4k

    There's that..
Then there's the atmosphere.. Too bad the folks in charge couldn't find a way to promote and grow the sport.. It really is a good time.. And all the fellas I've met from that arena are top notch guys..
Gotta have a farm league to feed the majors...

When I first started I would go to any show I could run at knowing I was way out gunned. If you want to do it, try it. There are plenty of people out there that will help you along. I've ran a show for the last 3 years and had gas classes I had to beg people to come run at. You'll never get a better place to start then a racing GTG.

Anyone coming to the GTG that wants to sell or trade an American made bench top drill press?

So do I need to prepare for the big wood or are we just doing the 10" cants?

    Lmao...

There will be two 20" x 20" set up.

So being a 24" (25" Stihl) bar if you want to run in those.

Otherwise, there will be two fresh 10" x 10" and then when we are done with the 20" x 20" we will break those down and have 8 more 10" Cants.

    This was last Oct.

They will most likely be Cottonwood. If they are not cottonwood, it will be of the Basswood or Aspen variety. Either way, it will be soft and fresh. They cut them normally the day or two before I need them. The mill is next door

Will there be a "for sale or trade" type table or area at the GTG? I have some stuff to bring if so.
