Give a try, it will depend on what it's cycling through I would guess. I've got a little Star- Firestar in .45 in a bug- out box, that's what this stuff is for initially. It has always eaten everything I've tried. If it works, I'll grab some more. Wait and see I guess.
How do you like the firestar? I had a star in 9mm back in the late 80's. Great shooter, wish I never got rid of it.
I had a M-43 (9mm) a long time ago, it was great, just chunky. Same for this M-45 (.45acp). But the heft helps with recoil and it's accurate enough for what it is. I actually don't shoot it much. It stays in it's box.
