    Started up pretty high.

I was thinking of something different, but kind of the same thing I guess. If I use my forks, add a pin to each side, that I could have something heavy pinned on and reach out with. Then set the heavy thing on top. Hmmmm. I don't know how it would work as far as maneuvering though. I can move the brush around easy enough with just my forks. But not for a longer distance. (Falls off forks.) So I usually put forks in hanging down position and push with them then roll them up when I get to where I want to pile the brush. I wonder if I should try to load it onto a trailer with forks. Then move it and push it off in clearing. ?

Also use the bucket a lot to push. If I take my time it is pretty cool how much I can move and what I can get done with the tractor/loader/backhoe. A very versatile machine.

Stinny. I have considered buying debris forks instead. Like these.

    http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/NTESearch?storeId=6970&ipp=24&Ntt=debris forks

But they are all too short, too much money, and I'm not crazy about clamp on bucket anything. I am glad I bought the heavy duty pallet forks that I did. I can work the snot out of them and not hurt them.

I wonder if I could make home made debris forks out of wood that I could slide into with my forks.?

    Me too.
Rain, snow, more rain. Raining again tonight.
Predicting 6-10" by Sunday. Snow won't last more than a day or two, normal stuff this time of year. Just tired of it.

Not sure how long wood debris forks would last with the muscle your tractor has... you could try it.

A center bucket arm could be thought of as more of a safety thing. The forks do the work and the arm captures it so long heavy loads can't pivot. I wouldn't want a "grab" arm in the way all the time either that was attached to the top of my bucket. The ram and "base" of the arm might be all that has to stay on the top rear of the bucket. The large curved arm could be made to slide into a base receiver and pinned. Could make the entire attachment come off too, easily pin onto the bucket, using quick release hyd hoses. I used this middle arm kind of set-up for 3 years at the farm and was amazed at what it could do. My 2 cents...

Ya. I have a feeling the wood forks would be snapping pretty quick.

I'm surprised that in 2003, the year of this tractor. And now! They still sell tractors with no hydraulics up front. I mean if you are selling a tractor that cost over $35,000 when it is new, it would seem you could include the hydraulics up front for attachments. :picard:

Anywho. So I have no hydraulics up front other than the two lines that run my rams for the bucket. If I add more hydraulics up front I have to also add another controller. I don't want to spend anymore money. I have spent too much money as it is.

I have the best wife ever.

My shop has been an absolute disaster for about as long as I can remember. Between the kitchen remodel, beds for the kids, chicken tractors and crates, etc, etc, etc, it had fallen into complete disorganization. You could barely walk through there.

I get home from my road trip yesterday and she had it all cleaned up for me...said it was my birthday present. Can't buy a better present than that.

We have woken up to clear sunny skies the last few mornings. Makes our walks in the morning great. this morning looks like this. We are making a drive down island so it will be rather warm today. I think the kids(dogs) will be staying home.

starting to see cruisers heading north to Alaska and our central coast. Had a few anchoring out. Some of them are really big.

We have a construction site going on next door. After nearly thirty years, we will have a neighbour on the west side. The dogs love watching the work going on.

99's definition of cleaning up is more accurately throwing out.
Any offer of "help" to clean the workshop leads to increased Blood Pressure and a quick "No Thanks" from me.
She is not a saver; I am....and there-in lies the problem.
