I bought this little real tools for kids rake for 10 bucks Cut the handle down, and it works great but, The handle is getting burnt up, So instead of waiting for it to get wasted Or replacing it with steel, I Figured I would find something to slip into it and shield it.
Found some 1/32 wall Tubing in the shop, Don't remember where the heck it came from but, with a little sanding, it was a slip fit right on. I think this should do the trick, what do you think?

Its just a nice tight slip fit,,When I started out I crammed the handle in the tube, kinda got it stuck had a hard time getting it out, then sanded down the handle just enough so it slides on but stays put

The whole thing is 27 1/2 inches long, I purposely Cut the tubing so I left 8 inches of wooden handle sticking out the other end so It doesn't get hot down there, It does get hot down by the rake end though.
I just happen to have an old, extra poker stand, and Just hang it on there

The wall is just the thickness of the tubing wall, Such as, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 inch etc
