    You should see the size of the top that is underneath it, the top either came off a big maple or basswood.

    It's very hot today so I stayed out of the woods, we had 92 in the direct sun.

    From what I could see we have the leaner (smaller Maple) and the big top which is leaning against another tree, once I get up there I'll have a better idea on how to deal with it.

    That whole thing looks like a house of cards, ready to collapse. Take care with it. The leaner looks like a good straight pole easy to buck and split once it is down. One more benefit of a dense thick woods.

    I like cutting those buggers. Most are quite easy once you get the hang of it.
