You should see the size of the top that is underneath it, the top either came off a big maple or basswood.
Do I see some other snag in there that will make it interesting to get on the ground . It's hung up on something. Careful ! Thing are greening up fast there. Same here, leaves coming on strong .
It's very hot today so I stayed out of the woods, we had 92 in the direct sun. From what I could see we have the leaner (smaller Maple) and the big top which is leaning against another tree, once I get up there I'll have a better idea on how to deal with it.
That whole thing looks like a house of cards, ready to collapse. Take care with it. The leaner looks like a good straight pole easy to buck and split once it is down. One more benefit of a dense thick woods.
