    Replaced the sooooooper cheap three tab shingles that were used for the cap on my ridge vent. The N-S ridge was run the wrong way for the wicked north winds in the winter, and the E-W ridge had a few peeled off. I replaced them with high dollar ridge cap shingles from HD. Not a big deal, about 100' worth.

    Good work cnice! I had several stumps in an area to take care of the other day. I would have liked to dig them out but did not want to disturb the roots of the trees I wanted to leave. So might as well leave them as fertilizer for the other trees. I dug around them a bit and brushed them off as best I could and used the Echo to cut them off at ground level. As long as I can go over them with the riding mower without hitting it, good nuff.

    Man. The busy season is here. So much to do, not enough time in the day. Love being outdoors more though. The weather has been great. I am exhausted by 7pm most days now. :dex:LOL

    With the contractor inspection tomorrow, it sure will look a lot better. The shingle scrap now and then has been annoying as well. Never had enough gap between the plastic ridge vents to cause any leaks worth noting. I'm sure there has been the occasional drip, but nothing that has caused any problems.

    I have never had the gumption to do any serious roofing on my own, but the random patch or repair job has always been successful for me.

    Taking it easy this morning recovering from race weekend.
    Need to pick up some longer screws for the bath vanity door hardware.
    Should be a good day to clean the leaves off the pool cover - see how many snakes I can stir up
