Tonight @ supper time we had a domestic violence situation happen in the roadway in front of our house. Husband/wife got into a donnybrook, rolling around in the roadway fighting over a little girl about 6 or 7 years old. I elected to verbally intervene and got the fight stopped. Ended up calling 911 and the Provincial Police got involved. Now, I end up being lucky enough to be a witness in their investigation and subsequent charges laid. All from standing in the doorway of my house....................................
Sure hope the child was not present for all the shenanigans. Being a child of dysfunction I hope they both pull their head out of their tailpipes cuz it only messes up the kid. I am glad you had the fortitude of character to intervene.
Good on you rottiman. Yeah it sucks, but hopefully the child grows up in a better environment than what would've been otherwise.
No good deed goes unpunished, I am sorry, but proud of you that you did the right thing I have a friend of a friend several times over. They had a woman screaming and running after being clocked in the head, from the boyfriend, she came from a car infront of their house. The couple took her into the home to protect her, but the boyfriend began breaking windows and more. The protecting husband came out, fight, druggie boyfriend was severly injured. Protective husband is now facing a trial. Be careful rotti, and anyone else that is unitentionally involved with stuff like that.
Unfortunately the poor kid was hysterical, that's why I shouted @ the two "children" to stop. Once I loudly pointed out to them to think about what the poor kid was seeing, the female made a abrupt departure.
Kept about a 35 yard distance thru the whole thing. Had it led to a face to face, Bear would have taken over to restore law and order.............................
Thanks for doing the right thing! Years ago, I was driving through Middelbury Vt. and got rear ended. As I got hit, I looked in my mirror to see a guy jump on the hood of the car that hit me. I got out to check the damage and the guy was pounding on the windshield and yelling at the lady in the car. I asked her if she was ok and she said yes. There was no damage to my work van so I left. She must have been driving fast trying to get away from him.
Glad you were there and could help Rotti... Pretty obvious that little girl needed somebody to step in...
Rotti, I always think that in some way there is a "Master Plan" that they picked your place to have that altercation. You came to the little girls rescue and now the authorities are in on it and should follow up in what should be the child's best interest.
Would have liked to have a video cept' I have no video capable equipment. Had a video been made it would have probably save having to sit my arse in court as a witness...........................
I thought Canadians were biologically incapable of expressing anger with the exceptions of being at a hockey game or running out of Molson.
Good job, Rotti. I hope it works out better in the end for the little girl. Kids shouldn't be exposed to that kind of crap, especially at that age.
come on up and try poking my chest actually I'm a transplanted Keystoner and I can't stand hockey....................
Do you mind if I aks why you made the move? My wife and I had toyed around with the idea of emigrating there but it's not that easy to do with obligations here and it's so damm cold in most of Canada.
