Watching the Master at Work. Vertical all the way. Keep Smiling Sav. The wood being split ...... Something from your acreage.
Yup. Something from here. Easy splitting so I just had to show how easy it was even as weak as I still am. Can't do much at one time yet either but it will get done one of these days.
Most likely what you do in one time is motivation for me to get out and do a little more. Reminds me of the Tortoise and the Hare. or at my house the Little Red Hen.
Or maybe 2018 wood. Not sure on that one just yet. Have to take an inventory. lol Yes, it is elm and I did this today because of another thread or threads bashing elm and how it splits. I just had to get out there and show how easy it can split. Once in a while we get a few pieces that are a bit testy but usually it splits very easy.
I have lots of elm at my property. I let the Dutch kill it, wait for the bark to shed then cut down and split. Pretty much splits easy like your video. Also no bugs under the bark so I don't mind storing it inside.
I knew it was elm , You go Dennis Even my 7 ton doesn't have any trouble with most of the elm I have had , but not all elm is created equal
Somebody give that man a cushion for the milk crate, it's going to leave a square patterened indentations on his back(woodssavage)side!
Why doesn't MTD have owners manuals for the splitters? Dang thing is pointing to the sky! That joker OBVIOUSLY is splitting some elm that grew in the woods . Are we gonna make a video of you splitting the elm I'm bringing over? Lol Good to see you out and about.
Our american elm doesn't split like that either. The worst one Dennis split on that video is like the easiest split of the elm we have. Dead standing dry barkless elm.
