Went out this morning and finished up the last of the red oak . Filled the trailer but still had room in the kubota for wood. So what's a hoarder to do? How bout a little sample lot I figured. Filled the kubota with Ironwood, Hickory, and a couple rounds of Ash. Headed back out after lunch, farmer wants me to get some ash that fell in a couple fields before he plants corn. Ok, on my way!
Its a diesel, 4x4. Really like it for my needs. Wood hauling, snow plowing, and sap hauling. Does a good job in the mud in spring. One cut up, more to go. Time for a water break, getta hot out. Can someone help me find more dead ash in this picture? Lol
You are really doing him a favor removing dead falls from the field. When I was row cropping my land that would have saved me a lot of work and the cost of my Stihl 026. I used that saw to do what you are doing for him for free. It cut up trees that fell on my fields so I could use planting equipment. In my case the resulting tree sections just got moved off the field but in your case they are being completely removed.
Jealousy from here Can tell you are having fun. + Getting some prime wood too Ramp for the "rollers" (bigger rounds ) ?
I noticed the black flies coming out this afternoon. You reminded me that I need to check along our east line. It is not my field but I try to keep it cleaned up for him. I don't see any ash there! Perhaps you'll have to come here for some ash.
Yep, ramp is for the rollers . This farmer uses a OWB but has 2000 acres to get planted and doesn't have time . Easy pickings! The woods in the pictures is my leased woods. I won't say what I got it for in fear of some sort of FWC retaliation. Lol
Dennis, Dennis, I know you better than that. My guess is you enlarged the pic and counted half dozen easy? I'll be over soon, me and those big, nasty, elm rollers !
