Hey guys! Just picked this new girl up yesterday. 2006 and in near perfect shape - 2800 miles. Price was great and I used to ride a lot when I was younger - been looking for a bike to take back and forth to work (5 miles one way), hit some trails, and just have some fun. This was my first 'buy first and apologize later' purchase in 15 years of marriage - she was PIZZED off yesterday, talking to me today, and hopefully I'll see her smile tomorrow.......! Cheers!
Oh.....she'd prefer to set it on fire right now........maybe in a few days.........! Going to fluff my pillow in the doghouse.....Cheers!
Maybe let her take it for a ride in a few days then. My better half was slightly, very slightly, upset about the tractor I picked up. She ran it for an hour last weekend putting compost on the garden and loves it. Said she wants to give up her desk job and go operate equipment. Who knows, maybe she'll want one of her own.
Nice bike! My wife doesn't bat an eye if I bring home a $700 chainsaw or anything else but she would be less than pleased if I brought home another bike. She didn't push for me to get rid of my bikes at all but wasn't disappointed when I did. I sure miss the Triumph Sprint ST and the Honda Blackbird most of all on nice spring days like this. Stay safe!
Thanks haveissues - my wife is the same - I never have to ask about my saws, but this was different - she's mainly concerns I'll get hurt. I'm a putt around guy and drive very slow and safe - not out to speed around and I know my limits. Will stay as safe as I can! Cheers!
I want another bike, I'm not scared about me being wreck less on one. The problem is everyone else, now this texting stuff has scared me away till my daughter gets older.
Nice klx! That one does look minty fresh! I could never be bikeless. I just need to add to my collection. Keep your head on a swivel, and try to think what the worst thing any cager could do, and plan for it. It's worked for me so far.
Nice bike! I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I don't think I've thrown a leg over my KTM since a harescramble in December, 2o13. It's hard to justify keeping it when I don't have the time to ride, so I'm seriously considering listing it on Craigslist soon. I guess that's the downside of buying a house and then getting married....I used to ride dirt every Saturday year-round no matter what the weather was like, and then wake up early on Sundays and hit the twisties on the street as long as it was warmer than 45 and not raining.
Your wife is correct, chit happens. http://www.wral.com/motorcyclist-killed-in-wreck-east-of-clayton/14603229/ Stay Safe
