Last spring I bought this SL with 2 buckets. Sure beats dragging 1 home from work when I need 1 but a set of forks has been on my wish list since. I got to thinkin that all I need forks for is to lift a log or a barn beam or sumpthin like that. The little gehl will only lift 700 pounds so I aint gonna use it to lift pallets of block or brick, just not having to get out and chain stuff to the buckets is all I am looking for. Got to kicking around in the weeds today and found some 5x1 1/2 inch channel. Might be over kill since 1 inch square tube would be enough but I gotta run what I brung. Rough cut it with my old demo saw and am going to go into work early tomorrow and hit it with some 6011 fat rods I got stashed away.
Glad I'm not the only one with the obligatory scrap pile. I actually have forks in mine. Just don't have a skid steer bracket to mount them to the tractor yet.
