Seems a lot bigger in person and has a wicked lean over the fence so gonna take the truck and Mrs over to help out.
Loon, I would not cut that one just yet. Give it another year and that might make the difference. I sill laugh at you guys and your hate of elm. We love it and it has kept us warm many, many years.
Let's take a look at the "key words" . Big , check.....dead, check.....elm, checkmate ! I would leave it ESPECIALLY if it grew in the open.
[QUOTE="Backwoods Savage, I sill laugh at you guys and your hate of elm. Think I might wait till dark and just roll them off at the end of your driveway!
Dennis, I don't hate elm, it's just no fun to split, so it waits. Dead elm kept me warmer this winter than I would have been otherwise. I say that because my fire burning apparatus isn't that efficient.
That friggen thing is still sitting in the woods Hork. Sav I got the truck semi stuck on the way down so its still standing. Ended up with some nice maple and some cussing elm up in the dry areas. Had some company when we were at it. And Booms was just a happy little blur when we got back up to the house stinny.
