I think she got this for $300. I'll use it this summer and take it from there. My concern will be the electric useage.

I've used it before. Zyrtec seems to work better for me when needed. Luckily I haven't needed any this year.

The predicted all day rain hasn't shown up. It's just grey, and 41 degrees. The wood trailer I use is not available, so I can't haul wood out of the woods today anyway. Wasted day. Bummer. I'll find something to do. Maybe I'll start the fire pit and burn more branches. Then it will surely rain.:headbang:

I plan on getting more done tomorrow.

Maybe some day I'll get one of those. Fast and efficient, plus awd if you get the D model.

I have to admit, I purposely rented a new Prius in 08 when my wife and I got married in northern California. I was pretty impressed with it. Tons of room, spaces for everything, 22k for that model, and they are loaded, well except for leather. At the time the only option was the solar roof, and the rentals didn't have that.

I put over 1600 miles on it, and it for 50 mpg, and wasn't slow. It handled very well, despite skinnier tires. It went around twisty hwy 1 on the coast much better than all the other rental cars I've used on that road.

I've got more issues with minivan drivers that think they are on an F1 track than hybrid owners. I saw 2 instances of moronic minivan driving maneuvers on my drive home on Friday. :loco:

Yeah but I don't think the Prius sells for 22K anymore. If my info is right, it's well north of 30K now.

When I got home I did a few things (made some coffee, checked the fire) when I came back upstairs we could hear a bang/thud noise like someone was doing something to the house so I checked a few areas......nothing and we could still hear it so I went downstairs and the turkey (a tom) was pecking the hell out of the glass on the window.......I grabbed old bertha to show him what the end looked like....he was off and running.

I just got home from a trip where I helped my brother get a small job done over the last two days. Always good to work and spend time with him. Yesterday we had lunch at The Franklin Hotel in Rome again, always good. Had a nice piece of haddock and home made mac and cheese. Dinner was a short drive over to the nearest Outback Steakhouse in New Hartford. Mmmm - cold 22oz. Sam Adams draft before a salad, a wood fired filet Mignon and garlic mashed. And lunch today was at Decastro's Brick Oven Pizza in Rome. A very nice wood fired brick oven right in the dining area of the restaurant. Excellent Pizza! I ordered a Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza and my brother ordered a BBQ Brisket Sandwich with home made chips and we split both. Good thing we had a lot of work to do pulling wires over ceilings and going up and down ladders! LOL
Is something wrong when the report of the last two days of your life and a trip you went on is all about your meals? :emb:

This morning we headed to Tupper Lake for some breakfast at the Lumberjack, the four egg western omelet with home fries and toast was great.

We headed to Saranac Lake for some shopping (new suit for a wedding) at this place, http://www.tffinnigan.com/suits-sportcoats/

They had my size so we spent some green stuff, maybe another trip in a different direction for some shoes after breakfast again.

My brother in Florida bought the plug in Prius a year ago. That model is much more than the regular hybrid prius and I know he didn't pay over 30k.

I just checked, regular normal, not the Prius v or smaller Prius c, is starting msrp of 24k. You can load them up though now, going to 35k if you want everything on it. At 24k, full asking price, you can quickly save $ at 50mpg.

But no, they don't tow much, if at all. I think a tow hitch on a Prius is talk just for bike racks and that sort of thing.
