I have used the northern tools version and they run pretty good. You might have to play with the vise a bit to get it grinding perfectly even on both sides of the chain if you'd picky. I believe Dex has one too?
It's gotta be better than by hand or my HF bench grinder! My HF just died tonight after we went cutting. I thought I'd try and touch up a chain and the snot smoked out on me. O well I really haven't had time to use it in over a year so it's just sat. To be hones $6 a sharpening is getting old so I'll find time to sharpen now. Every time I touch on of AC's saws I feel like an idiot after I go back to mine.
I got the Northern Tool version When it was on sale for $99 and I can tell you it is way way better than harbor freight special. It cost me, Edit a $113.00 to the door. It's on sale right now for109.99,,It comes with 3 wheels a dressing stone and a gauge. As far as I know it is the same as the timbertuff
It went ok... We ALL had a moment of mental stupidity when we started. We got 2 pines all stuck together standing because they where grown so close together. We ended up cutting the 3rd and letting them all come crashing down. The rest I climbed in the tractor bucket and tied off up high then we pulled them out and down. A few we pushed over with the bucket as well. It was an adventure! AC got his arms turned into jello because he did most of the felling and a couple of those trees where a good 30" round. We drank lots of coffee..... It couldn't have been a more beautiful day to be out though. O and at Scotty's request Dennis took a bunch of pics.

Love my TT. Had a HF (gave to me), and an Oregon (plastic also). For $100, it's prob the best unit out there. It takes a little finesse, but very easy to get good results. Make sure to follow the Manuf angles (head and cutter), and over time, adjust one way or another to find what you like best. I like 35* on all my cutters. Dulls a little faster, but as sharp as a tack. head angle varies, but I stay around 60*. Granted, I don't have any ripping chains (yet).
