As painful as it is to say, burning season is not yet over. Been snowing most of the day. Cold and windy. Kind of depressing. Fire feels good, though.

I feel for you guys. I have not burned in 3 weeks and I don't think I would unless I really had to. I have put the IS to bed for the summer already.

Frank, I haven't burnt in about 3 weeks+. I kind of miss it already. Beautiful looking setup. I've got the same HW baseboard heat. It hasn't been used much.

I know some of you guys are in a cold spell, as well. It just seems like its always windy and cold these days. The wind blows hard almost every day and night. Last year, Lake Michigan never warmed up enough for swimming. Not to turn this into a polititical thread, but I'm not buying into the global warming hoax.

I always joke I lived in my house for 11 years and had 4 days I could not put up a kyte.. I don't have you size lake but when the wind blows across that 15 mile ice cube it does get :shiver:

I often state I am against pollution but all for global warming... Average Temperature in February was 9 degrees

Nice looking setup you have there.

I thought we were done too. We hadn't burnt anything in weeks, but since this past weekend the temps have dropped and the wind picked up so I've been burning once at night and again in the morning.

Dogs have been loving the return of a warm hearth. :)

Ok, I admit there are about two months we don't have an inside fire, but there really is no such thing a "burning season" here. If it is cool and damp, fire is going. Even if I have an open window. I'm all for comfort, not calendars setting the best time for having a fire.

Yep. Burning again here too. Going down into the 30's overnight for the rest of the week. High's only in the upper 50's.

I'll keep a few small splits going during the day. Makes it easier to heat things up when the temps drop as the sun goes down.
