I didn't realize any of Stihl's bigger saws came in odd numbers. Is this the same as a 660, just with a smaller top end? Not that I'm going to buy it, I'm not in the market for a large saw and I've seen plenty of 660's on CL around here for a LOT less than this guy is asking anyway!

Especially with the broken plastic. Makes you wonder the un-photographed side looks like.

The 650 was a limited run here in the U.S. 1 or 2 years I think. It is indeed a 660 with a smaller top end. They retailed about $100 less than a 660 and that limited sales quite a bit.

Exactly. No way will I pay major coin for something with just a couple pics.Sure $20 to 50 I'll take a chance, especially if I've dealt with them before.
Craigslist allows 12 last I remember, the least the Seller could do was snap a few more of the right side, front & underneath.Considering its FREE to list them!!Makes you wonder what they're hiding? Even Feebay allows 12 free pics now for everything you list,no matter what the item is or your asking price.....

$1200? I think you can buy a new 660 for that!

I gots less than that in my Mac125C restoration with a bunch of NOS parts,2 vintage long rollernose bars,4 new .404 skip chains,a bunch of sweat equity & more than a few cuss words.... ;)

And its a helluva lot more saw than that 650. :dex:

Same saw except the top badge and an 84cc piston and cyl.
I have one and run it as one of my main saws.

I read so.where that they used them lots on the landings out west. For the ground guys to limb and buck. They were not as hard on the bearings and seemed to last longer. I read it on the internet so it must be true?

But we dont see any of them much around d here and none of our loggers use them so I have no idea if its true?

I got mine as a saw in a box. Tree company had dropped a tree on it.
