Not saying this is the case for all who own a processor but I know a guy who has two processors. You sit the tree on it and it takes over. That said I see them out there with a saw and regular splitter running more than the two processors.

If you get firewood delivered to you for free and cut up as I do there is a big profit in selling firewood. I have two splitters and with myself and 2 helpers we can split 3 cord in 4 hours plus stack one cord. I get $275.00 a cord outside of Albany NY picked up bringing the inventory to $825.00. Even paying my help the $15.00 an hour for a total of 8 hours it comes to $120.00 plus fuel, chains and repairs add another $100.00 (no where near that but I always put a little aside) for that and I still have $600.00 left over for 4 hours of my labor. I guess you can't see the writing on the wall as I'll take the $150.00 an hour everyday. Sometimes it all depends on your overhead and I have none as far as getting the wood here and chunked as rental for the Tree service's parking of equipment. I have a saying "It is easy to live out of someone else's pocket book"
