Who wouldn't want these stacks!! No, there not mine...... The Speedway gas station by my house has this guy selling firewood next door and these are his stacks.... Lot's of wood for sure... I think this guy works super hard.. This is just what he has cut and split this spring so far... Every year I see him fill it in late winter, spring and it's all sold by Christmas. It's normal to get gas and take pictures of firewood stacks, right.....?? Anyone..............??
Gas and wood are both fuel. It's all good! I'm seeing some huge piles of rounds at people's houses on my route to work. Nothing quite like that though.
I was feeling pretty stoked about the 1/6 cord of oak I banged out with the Fiskars and stacked this evening...
Yep... But I got to shoot the breeze with my kid for an hour while doing it, so it's all good. Better than an hour in the gym and I've got something to show for it.
Check your draft on your stove, it might be effecting your oxygen levels.... I have about 1% of what his guy cut split and stacked this year and I think I'm doing pretty good....
My first thought was how much manual labor it looks like he has just in the pics you took. If I was doing that much wood I think I'd want a loader and maybe a processor. He must be under 40.
I have no idea what he charges....I'm guessing about $250/cord? I have never seen him out there processing firewood, so not sure what his set up is? He's been there for years and I see him fill the stacks in the spring... He sells out every year. I knew you guys/gals would like these pics, that's why I filled up with gas at Speedway and walked in the mud with my I pad to take a couple pics while the other Speedway customers watched with concern...
