As often as she wrecks cars, she IS making sure the guys in the fab shop keep their jobs.

IMO, she is no more than an "average" driver....just there to bring in sponsor $$.

OK, so 6 cups of pellets weighs what, 1 lb.? 2 lbs? Say 1 lb. If your pellets cost $4.00 a bag, that's $.10 a lb. So if you burn 5 tons a year, that a savings of $.50 a year. So if your materials cost was $25.00, you will break even in 50 years. 25 years if you save 2 lbs. Just sayin.

It is the principle of not wanting to deal with sloppy equipment that gets to imacman, damm it all, I want my pellets to go into the burn pot and not bounce out like they were bouncy balls.

Yeah, I hear ya. But if you knew me, I HATE when something doesn't work the way it's supposed to, so those pellets bouncing all over just bugged me. Guess that's why we did so well racing....very anal....everything had to be just so.

The problem is I don't have the skillset to do what you did, so I would have just fumed about it.

Believe me, it wasn't very difficult....anyone who can use a ruler, pencil, and has sheet metal snips could do that. You underwater guys are usually pretty good at fixing stuff.

About them sheet metal snips, they are dangerous in the wrong hands.

I know of many folks who would make a mess of themselves using them.

Nice job Pete! I know what you mean about the annoyance, I too was bugged by pellets in the ash pan.

Pellets belong in the burnpot, Not in the ash pan!!
