Not the best picture as I couldn't find the camera before I unloaded then I snapped one out the window at dinner time as the sun was going down. Hauled a big load of locust again this evening...picture between the pines. Really need to shift into splitter production.

I've noticed the chainsaw can make a lot of work for you really fast - I spend a lot more time and effort moving the rounds and splitting them. Someone needs to make a chainsaw that splits at the same time! Million dollar idea!

Nice haul  - how much is left to get?

There is probably at least 40 more locust trees that can come down, but I don't know that I will be hauling much more this spring. If I do it won't be more that a couple more loads. I have at least 7 cords of rounds to split (not all locust)

Get what you can before the bugs & heat get too miserable to work in.

Look like you'll need to mow soon ?

    Same here too. Ugggg

    Nice work LP!

What other kind of wood do you burn? I hear locust is tough to start if that's the only wood. I did have a couple of pieces of BL this year, and I was impressed with burn time and heat.

Mowed for the first time on Saturday after I got all the bark pieces picked up that the dog had carried all over the yard.

I have lots of different species in the 20+ cords I have around here. Cherry, hickory, oak, ash, walnut, elm, beech, and a few others.
