I am so fortunate to have found one like that too. I pay him ALOT, but he's so fast and efficient, paying by the hour does not seem fair. And, as you suggested, I recommend him any time the opportunity comes up. Neat deal, he's a full time dad, tows his lil one with him.

I learned a long time ago that pricing jobs like that by the hour usually end up with my sex life getting a big boost. I insist that they look @ the job and give ME the price.

Well......................My man worked hard and steady until 5:05pm. @ that point he was just about @ the 4 cord mark. Similar to the old joke about the old bull and the young bull running down the hill, his back could not take any more and he had to tap out and pack it in. I give him credit for working as hard and steady as he did. There are not many young lads who would have preserved as long as he did. About 5 minutes ago he called on the phone to ask if he could complete the job this coming Friday as he had to start his new job tomorrow and would be working till then. I told him by all means he was welcome to finish it then. He told me that he learned from the experience and would be bringing someone to help him finish. Got to say the whole thing was kind of refreshing in that lads his age with that kinda drive ARE far and few between..............................:thumbs::thumbs:

I thought you meant they were 28 inches long....which would be a pain to split......I guess I'm so used to my trees being 26 - 32 inches diameter it never occurred to me that he wouldn't expect that....

That's a pain, Gasifier. How far are you from Ogdensburg? Any rental places there?
