    Been a NRA member for awhile now, I enjoy the benefits of being a member and belonging to the association BUT....they blow up my mailbox with junk.

    Yeah, me too. Gotta have someone to stand up for gunowner rights, though. There is a growing and dedicated group of people trying to take those rights away. Makes me sad to think about that.

    As an advisor and instructor, we teach safety and protection from the start. We use an acroynm.... "MATTER"
    M=     Muzzle (always keep muzzle in a safe direction)
    A= Action (always keep action open until ready to fire)
    T= Trigger (always keep finger off trigger until ready to fire)
    T= Target (be sure of your target and what is beyond)
    E= Eyes & Ears (always wear eye and ear protection)
    R= Responsibility (gun safety is your responsibility)

    Very simple and it works! :rootintootin:

    Thank you! She's too little to handle a firearm but will accompanying her daddy pretty soon on skeet shoots. Daddy has ear plugs but I am wondering about the 3 y/o, plugs, headphone muffler, helmet?

    We really like the electronic muffs...check out Caldwell E-Max Low profile
    They work great and are inexpensive (under $25)
