I did the same, only it was tuesday :picard:

Hope all our friends in the midwest made it through the night ok. Judging by the news here, they were some nasty storms.

Good morning, the thunderstorms have passed, we had some pretty good shows with the lightening and long rolling thunder, now it's looking like a cool down with mid 30's for tonight.
Started pulling the lawn equipment out yesterday, the grass is out of control..it'll take a couple good mowings to get the yard under control, if the rain ever stops!
    Have a good day. Peace.

All good here, no damage, sump pump was working as it should. No tornadoes here. Just a bit of water standing in the low areas of the yard.

The wind gust are picking up pretty good, I wonder how Gasifier's area is doing.

I see power outages starting to pop up.

Fairly strong winds here all afternoon and now up and down. Power is good here. And I hope it stays that way!

I get what you are saying. Funny thing was that we rented a house a couple miles down the same road we live off of now from 04-08. It had flooding issues as it was right on the river.
In june of 2008 we had so much flooding I had to take my motorcycle into work to store on the trailer for a few days. We just came back from a road trip to Oregon and California coasts. I left my bike on the trailer, in the 1 car mini garage. I'm glad I left it on the trailer as it would've had water halfway up the engine.

I had my jeep then, and my wife had her 4runner she still has. You needed the height of a real off road ready SUV go keep the water out of the cabin. Plenty of neighbors cars were total losses. FEMA visited right afterward.
I remember carrying my now wife to her truck so she wouldn't get her office attire wet/ dirty.

So, in July when we bought our house, we made sure it was on a hill. In the summer months I've got my boat on the trailer. If it gets that bad, I'll use my boat as an life boat.

If that happens, there's going to be most of the US under water. ;)
