when im in the woods i work much harder than i have to at work. But if i could, i would quit my job. And i would spend every day cutting wood, making trails, hauling brush, etc. I could do it every day for the rest of my life, and i would die a happy man.
It's only short sleeve "T" shirt weather now when you are working hard . Great pictures, worth 1000's of words Prime looking wood too ! Expecting a Picture of it split & stacked soon ?
Greg, I thought that you got your wood nicely boxed in cardboard and on pallets? I suppose that stuff in your picture will burn also.
I told my wife I shed all my top layers on Monday while hauling, loading and splitting to just a t shirt. It was 42 degrees, and I was perfectly warm. My wife thought I was nuts. That means you were burning some Easter dinner off.
Hell they are wearing shorts and flip flops around here already still a little cool for me to switch to shorts yet

That's where I am heading, now if somebody cold call Sonic and tell them to stop dragging their feet. I would be out of here in a heart beat doing what I love.
Looks like it may be two truck loads there? What'd ya use to haul it? Still way too much snow/water/mud around here to go scrounging.
Just staging for now, but from that site I use my little four wheel drive tractor, 30 HP diesel and a wagon. I can take carry about 2/3rds of a cord in it, plus I fill the bucket. Its a property not far from mine where I was given 10-12 cords of tops. A little poplar (which I cut when its in the way for shoulder season) , but mostly oak, ash and locust.
