You get everyone to show up with their saws, splitters; the next satellite photo will be a bare lot with wood stacks everywhere LOL
I'll be there Dennis and can help some beforehand . March early April doesn't work for me with the maple sap running, other than that anytime is good. Of course if you do have it then everyone is welcome to stop over and see some sap boiling . ☺ I must ask to be excused tho when the milk crates come out and the splitters are pointing up.
Too far for me too, but I will be more than happy to make something and send it if you are having a raffle.
This would be about 600 miles from me I think, but maybe you and I could drive together and split the gas? I'd road trip it for the fun of it if the dates could work.
I have been busy the last 2 days and have not checked much new business. I would definitely be in.. Glad you are really talking about it. After you mentioned it in our PM last week, I thought it was a great idea!! This would be a great time and you have the perfect spot. Plus, lots of wood can be put up in one day with a bunch of us there.
That would be fine by me! Maybe we can get one or two others and we could share the travel expense......plus we'd have some company for the trip out and back!
I am very interested, but I am not able to attend, sorry friend, I really wish I could. I do have to say though, that I am thrilled that you decided to do this, you have a following that you taught well, and lots of them chomping at the bit to repay a lil bit of the benefits they recieved. WTG Dennis!
You know, this just may be something that I could attend. I would first have to get my vaccinations updated as I would be traveling below the bridge, but who knows? There is an excuse we have to travel to the L.P. now, and this would be an added incentive for me. Please keep posting with info of perspective dates. (I would really like to find out if the ornery one is at all ornery or not!)
Depends on a lot of things like school schedule and kids' schedule. But otherwise I might like to come. I love splitting wood - just not stacking it...
I would go, except I really do not like where the middle red line is! If it were just 100 yards south, then I would come!! Just kidding! Wish it was closer, I'd be there~!
Well, this is beginning to sound quite nice. I'll even be contacting the local Stihl man and also the Husky man to see if they would like to attend. The Stihl guy lives just a few miles from us the other one lives near Pallet Pete. For those who want location, I'll just give a general location for now. Coming from south and SE, US-23 would be the main route north out of Toledo. Middle of the state would go through Lansing. From the west M-57 would be the main route and from the north, probably US-127. If someone wants to look on a map, look for the junction of US-127/M-57 or the junction of M-52/M-57. We are not far from those. M-57 being only a mile south of us. Naturally more exact directions will be given if this thing comes off. I want to thank everyone for chiming in and it does sound like none of us would go away hungry! That is good. I highly doubt anyone will go away thirsty either. We figured there may be a couple who would like to bring campers and we'll find a place for sure. We might or might not be able to get them way back where the action will be but if possible, we will. I can tell you we've had straight trucks in there with no problem. Our only problem might be height. But still, we could probably accommodate a dozen or more campers. lol For sure a neighbor would not mind us using part of his and we even have a nice road between our properties where some campers could park. After the affair, for dumping tanks there is a public place in town only about 10 miles distant. I'm starting to really think about this and believe it could be lots of fun for all. I'm sure even a couple of neighbors may join in.
