I have this Friday off for Good Friday and had planned on splitting up a big pile of cherry I have cut and waiting, until they changed the forecast to 100% chance of rain. :startled:

Nice day for cutting and thanks for the pics! Saws look great and the oak and hickory look even better!

    Who took the pics?

    Great pictures

Sounds like you will be several years ahead with 70 acres of logging tops to process.
    Prime time BTU's
Might be bit drier too if the leaves budded out & pulled out some water .

I too am a lefty but do not cut like that. Actually I do a lot of things right-handed and some both ways.

Sure wish we had some nice red oak like that. Well, we have a few but not that many. Yet, on the surrounding properties here, they have tons of oak; both red and white.

We had just over 5" of rain last night. Creeks are up everywhere around here and a lot of closed roads. More rain on the way.

Yea me too. I guess its true its a roght handed world. Now if we could make a left handed chainsaw we could get into a niche market. Be like left handed guns and charge at least 50 bucks more.

That's why I always do my taxes in winter. ;)

There's too much stuff to do in spring to add taxes into that equation.

Holy smokes! That is a lot of water overnight. I had looked at the radar and was wondering how much would fall from that. Yes, more on the way.

My mom's family owns a business that is on a creek just out of Lexington. I spent the afternoon there helping move everything up out of the first floor.

The water rose about three feet in an hour and a half and went over the bridge.

Hopefully it will crest overnight after this next storm and we can start clean up tomorrow.
