DexterDay might have to delete WW suggestion as the email still shows in her quote also.

I'll just watch this for now. I'm not holding my breath that a fabulous pellet is going to be produced here. I think we all know that MWP's venture into a softwood pellet produced a product just slightly better than their blend pellet. I haven't tried Corinth's softwood, but you don't see it on the HOT list here, so there ya go.

I don't burn pellets but I always root for the folks in Strong Maine making pellets because they need the jobs over that way so bad. Have no idea if they got any better but I guess they had issues a while back? Are you familiar with them subsailor

I'm not sure, but I think they had a fire there in Strong. We know folks who live/work there. It's about 5 miles from our cabin.

Yep. His email is gone (good job people).

Wildwest is right. That is why I asked in for it in PM.

Your stove has been retrofitted with auto ignite and the new burn pot. That is a huge upgrade. The newest sail switch and manifold is not anywhere near that cost.

But I would advise that you install it and run it, to see what it burns like. If it's burns with good airflow and good heat outout? Then don't do anymore upgrades.

Trees are everywhere except where there is a body of water of where the are constantly cut away. Here is a pic of my area and I am but three miles from the capital building. My home is 200 ft higher than the big river you see. That river is fresh water, but is tidal water.

Norm's furnace has a round pellet chute, heat exchanger scraper bent handle, different door and a ash drawer like yours. Lots of upgrades in the front but as you mentioned the back is untouched. We should start another tread for this particular furnace.

Power costs up here can eat a pellet mill alive and spit out the bones. That is the reason ScotL (MWP) is installing a power plant of its own.

    Hey Subbie

I switched to the Geneva last Sunday. No bad but not great either. They are definitely a blend as the pellets are lighter in color. Not many fines and consistent lengths.

Heat is good for shoulder season but would not have wanted these this past winter. Ash is black and heavy-typical of hard wood from what I have experienced.

Overall I would say they are similar to last season's FSU so pricing would be the factor between the two for me.
