A friend of mine owns a warehouse/distribution place, and one of his clients received some acacia cutting boards in a container with water/mold damage. He was going to have to put them into a landfill, but remembered I had an OWB, and offered them to me if i promised not to sell them, which i did. So we descended upon the ware house, me and five wood buddies, 5 pickup trucks and 3 trailers. It took 10 of us about three hours. I now have 29 pallets of them. We de-palletized them and filled what used to be my equipment lean to. Some of the guys are going to try their hand at wood working, cloroxing them and making some things. I researched acacia wood and they say it burns hot, with little ash, so we shall see. Burned a small test load and they didn't seem to smoke much and were very dry. Whatever cannot be made into projects will be mixed in with burning next winter. Wild. CB1.jpeg CB2.jpeg CB3.jpeg CB4.jpeg CB5.jpeg CB6.jpeg

Acacia is basically an exotic locust tree. Hate to see it get burned....but it will burn GOOD.

You could make some amazing flooring with that. Ponder on it for a while before you set a match to it. Dang.

Have no idea on board feet, but I think it was well over 1000 boxes, 4 to a box. So far I have found three friends that are all going to try things with them. One guy is a wood worker, another more of a carpenter guy, and the third is an artist that is going to use them to build pedestal type display pieces. So I am going to keep them in storage until the winter and burn whatever I have left over. My test burn of some that had clear damage or where broken went well. They burned very hot and clean. Right around freezing last night and furnace was at temp with a good coal bed this morning.
