Got an email the other day saying early buy pricing will be released in mid April. Last year it was about $5 off per ton. I'm not expecting much different this year.
Uh oh, Sounds like tt's got DF itis already. Beer helps tt and lots off it! Or rub some softies under your nose for a quick rush!
Great Works Biofuel in Berwick just sent out the pre buys Dear Customers, Now that the record snowfalls and cold temperatures of the Winter of 2014-2015 are over, it’s time to start thinking about next years’ heating season. Although we were able to keep pellets in-stock throughout this past winter, several brands were impossible to get after the pre-buy offer period. Many of the pellet mills have been unable to stockpile pellets for the coming season due to the constant demand during the winter months again this year. Therefore, supply on some brands may be limited to the pre-buy only. The following pellets are available this year *Quantities may be limited *Orders due May 15, 2015 Maine Woods (65% HW/35% SW) $240/ton 1 ton pallet * $240 Corinth (80% SW/20% HW) $272/ton 1 ton pallet * $272 Corinth (100% SW) $279/ton 1 ton pallet * $279 LG (100% SW) $279/ton 1 ton pallet * $279 or 1.5 ton pallet * $418.50 New England (80% HW/20% SW) $279/ton 1 ton pallet * $279 Logik-E (100% HW) $285/ton 1.1 ton pallet * $313.50 Spruce Pointe (100% SW) $290/ton 1.2 ton pallet * $348 La Crete (100% SW) $299/ton 1.2 ton pallet * $358.80 Okanagan Gold (100% SW) $305/ton 1 ton pallet * $305 Okanagan Platinum (100% SW) $309/ton 1.2 ton pallet * $370.80 Okanagan Douglas Fir (100% SW) $360/ton 1 ton pallet * $360 ****CASH OR CHECK ONLY**** Deposit: 50% of total purchase due with order. Balance due upon pick-up or delivery. Orders must be received by May 15, 2015. Delivery must be taken and balance paid in full by July 17, 2015. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These pellet manufactures better get with the program because I can buy home heating oil today at 2.13/gallon. At most, I burn 700-800 gallons if using only oil while pellets compare at up to 5 ton. Lets see, 4 pallets of Lacrete = 1435.20 plus delivery. Then I have to haul 4.8 ton to the basement, load the stove, clean the stove and have uneven heat 700 gallons at lets say 2.50 = 1750.00 and I can take 9-11 months to pay for it on a budget plan with even heat and no work. BTW, 700 gallons is unlikely as I use to get by with around 600 and the pre buys might very well be closer to 2.00 which would make oil cheaper than pellets. Most liklely, I will get 2 pallets of Lacrete and 400-500 gallons of oil and just run both.-I do like the basement heated
I couldn't agree more. If I had oil I would be burning that until the prices went up or pellet prices came down. If the payoff was even close I would go oil.
