    They got home this afternoon. I've been chicken ranching...gardening...kid herding...computer fixing...baseball practicing. ..day jobbing...and house cleaning all day.

    Back from Vegas! Buddy had a pine tree on the ground and a big ol ash limb. Went and cut up his stuff to take to the pile and scored the load of ash. Good night!

    My brother was back in town for a couple days. Goofed around and hung around our mom part of today and yesterday. After work I found this waiting for me from him!

    Totally unnecessary and unexpected! Of course he did try to put a damper on my spirits by saying I had to be careful with it. :)

    This was after getting caught up with my youngest son at college over some sub sandwiches.

    I use this dry rub on my steaks. It's great on ribeyes, but we even used it on a top sirloin the other day and that turned out awesome too. I sub regular paprika when we don't have the smoked stuff, and I back off on the crushed red pepper a little. It makes any steak taste dry aged, and seasons it perfectly.
