Did we all know NEWP was bought last year? I wonder if quality has changed at all. To be honest the few bags I have are burning just fine. I may be running out if time for a good review but am interested to see if anything has changed. Has anyone else noticed a change in quality for better or worse this year?
Rentech......they also purchased Allegheny Wood Pellets too...that place will be going to hell in no time now! lol
This could be a good thing. NEWP had safety issues, to include several fires and OSHA fines for combustible dust violations. Large corporations will have risk management departments that will not tolerate repeated OSHA violations, especially since Rentech is publicly-traded.
Articles dated May 06, 2014, So this seasons stuff would be under the new ownership. The GS I burned seemed to be about on par with what they were the previous season. MEH! I don't think much has changed except the name behind them. Allegheny Wood Pellets seemed to go down in performance from what a friend said. He has had ash cakes and clinkers. Fluke?
I burned those a few years ago with the woodpecker on the bags from Cozy Barn...they were ok...little ashy for me but burned ok.
