I have been using them for several years now. They give me some relief but doesn't cure anything and it's not super pleasant.

Winter 2013 I started leaning over upside down for better irrigation above my eyes. I tried alkalol in the past, a lot of times its too strong for me. I am now using premixed single use packets, easy and quick.

What are you techniques, any advice?

I use one with the premixed packs. It works well for me. I don't use it all the time but if I start getting sinus headaches it helps.

Yup, what jetjr said. If I really feel something nasty starting to brew I double up on the packets. Started using one about 5 years ago. I have not had a sinus infection since. Used to get one about 4 times a winter.

Thanks friends! Have either of you leaned over to get the saline further in to sinuses?

Just did that, one side is nice and clear and the other is not. Do you know which side to start from for to clear one side?

Yea two premixed packets work well when needed. I find that if I lean over to far it doesn't run as well, just find a happy medium and go with it.

Tried it a couple years back and it has since remained on the shelf...unused.

I did that at first. It was rough the first couple of tries until I figured it out.

I use one every day. One of the best inventions ever. It pretty much replaces the OTC medications that are expensive, inneffective, and full of chemicals. I would highly recommend them for anyone that has seasonal allergies or sinus problems.
