I have a defiant from Vermont castings that my Jack Russells like to lay under it! When the stove is dampered down the temp will get to around 300 and they lay on the blocks under the stove! Thats how I know the stove temp. when I an in the kitchen. When it is hot they lay 6 ft from it, as the wood burns down, they creep closer to it!. Come to think of it, my wife does the same thing!LOL.
She's doing well. It's just Badger's 5th birthday today, so he gets the avatar. Plus, that picture I used before wasn't that great. Here are the kids waiting for doggy bday cake.
Same here, my two labs lay on the floor, no soft carpet. But then my wife has the room cooking. When they cool off enough, they climb up on the leather couch. On the other hand, my cats all love the stove and will sit near it.
I can't help myself, I see Belle and want to scoop her up and cuddle that sweet girl! Oh, and Happy Bday Badger!
I cook us out of the room too, though I am comfy I know when the dogs go lay down in the drafty entry way they are too warm. Good for you Larry letting your bride stay quite warm. Oops, have I said too much?
