Well after our walk this morning, it didn't look like it was going to rain like it was forecast-ed so we loaded up the truck with wood and made a trip to Mom's. After we unloaded it, Campinspecter broke out the lawn mower and went to work on the 10" high lawn. I ran wheelbarrows of clippings to the dump pile. We had a very heavy rain last night so everything was swampy. Just got home now. The dogs really love Mom's place as it has lots of things to run around and hide behind.

Campinspecter has mowed the lawn at our house once a week for the last two months. A very mild winter this year. Rhubarb is up about a foot, daffodils are almost over, tulips and hyacinths are blooming and grass is growing. My peonies are up about a foot as well and the rosebush needs pruning before it starts blooming soon. What can I say! It's the west coast.

I'm not complaining as I hate cutting grass. It's all the other spring stuff I can't wait to get into.

I can't say since this is only my second spring at ~7500 ft and last year was a tough one, but it is sooooo much warmer than last year. No where near things budding or blooming, but atleast the 12' snow drift on the shed is almost melted......It was here til May last year. That must be a good sign :)

The "lawn" in my yards is still white! There are a couple brown spots along the edge, but white is the primary color.

Yeah, I had to fix the dang mower already, and if I hadn't cut the grass last week you wouldn't be able to see the house already! It's feeling like summer here now, spring was January and February. What a strange winter! Not complaining though, I went for a bike ride in a t shirt yesterday and there are flowers and bees and so much gardening to do! I almost miss lighting the big stove....almost.

I hate mowing the lawn. I've got an acre of it too. My 42" deck on my lawn tractor just isn't big enough to get it cut quick enough. If I break out the weed Wacker, and trim, it takes me 2 hours total between mower and Wacker. I had a push mower for trimming, but the coil went out, and since out was not a powered drive wheel mower, it sucked pushing all over the yard. When it died, I got the ryobi weed Wacker, which was a big improvement over the push mower, even though they can't be used in quite the same way.

Maybe I'll get a self powered push mower this year?

My wife gets most of the dog doo pickup work, as she knows how much I hate seeing smushed poo on my tractor tires.

The number one priority for lawn season though is putting a real cup holder on my tractor for beer duty. That's the only way I can have lawn mowing at least some what ok. Our lawn is getting greener since yesterday's rain.

I'll be mowing in a couple weeks at most now.

My yard really perked up. Probably on other week and I'll wake up the beast and mow.

Glad you like it! I need to cook something with that seasoning. We have not had it in a while now.
Glad you tagged me and reminded me about it!:handshake:
