I am jealous. I have a bigger Kubota but would love to have one that size for mowing and barn chores.

Did a little looking around online today and found all the manuals for the tractor, loader, and deck for free. The tractor service manual is 310 pages and is the same the dealer techs work with. Really hope I don't need it though.

Bret, chatted about property around the Casino you work at before. I went the route on buying 5 different used tractors with some luck but it was hit and miss. 6 years ago Kubota was running an interest free program. Bought the B7800 and a year later bought the back hoe same deal. I read someone giving you advice as to buying a size or two bigger than you think you will need. They are right on the money as I should have bought an L series now that I am trying to pick up face cords of firewood with my forks.

How's it going Chopy? Hope all is well with everything going on in your neighborhood.

I'm sure I will outgrow this tractor at some point and need something bigger for other projects. For now it's doing a great job moving snow out of the way and just plain old looking nice next to the shed. Will be stored inside as soon as the shop slows down and I can find some time to make room. First attachment is a 48" tiller and maybe a single bottom plow so the house boss can have a bigger garden. http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/countylinereg;-4-ft-all-gear-driven-sub-compact-tiller

The next few weeks are booked solid with reel grinding and rebuilding but as soon as I get caught up I'm going to change all the fluids and filters and do a complete steam clean and detail it. Hood is slightly faded so it's time to get the rubbing compound out and make it look new. If I keep it clean and mechanically sound it will hold it's value for when it's time to move up in size or model year.

You can also look at the parts diagrams online through Kubota or Messicks.

Get the tractor all washed up and clay bar. Then put some Meguiars #7 glaze on it and let it soak for a day or so then wipe it off. It will bring the paint back to life. If you use rubbing compound you are removing paint to restore where the glaze does not remove paint. I have used glaze on old paint with gold results. Here is an article that better explains it. You don't have to go as crazy since it is a tractor and not a show car.

    Another one on glaze

First addition to the tractor tool selection. Me and the little one went to TSC to check out their middle buster. Way cheaper than a turn plow, not as effective but cheaper, and I can do some drainage work for the area that will be getting a chicken coop if I can dry things up enough. Did I mention I took one of my daughters with me to TSC and they had chicks?

They make a chisel attachment for it to that is great for bustin up glacial till and clay. With that attachment I can drop the 3 pt arms to the ground in just about anything other than solid rock with a few passes. I'd go slow with the middle buster until you know you are going to make it through the ground you are working...ask me how i know:whistle:

So right a NO Brainer, have the same Kubota insurance haven't needed it in the last 7 years but you can't beat the price with a stick compared to my auto carrier, State Farm. I do some odd job work off premises and it is covered for transporting and working on others property. I hate to say it but I almost bought a Green tractor, nothing against them but glad I didn't.
