Picked up this G19 gen 2 Glock yesterday for $40 cash out of my pocket. Long story short I did some some duct work modifications for a guy that totaled about $200 so I gave him $40 and we called it even. It is in good shape and will go nicely with the rest of my Glock family.
Congrats! Sweet deal if you ask me. I keep looking for a 19 or 26 around here, getting tougher to find unless you buy new. Sad part is, I've got a dozen + G mags, and nothing to stick them in.
Well....... I already own a Gen3 27, 23, and 22. All three have trijicon night sights and my 23, which is my bedside gun, has crimson trace laser on the front rail. Guess I am working on a set of 9mm now ! I should say that I don't get my hands on the 27 much cause my wife laid claim to it and it is usually with her.
If you are interested I can hook you up with a gun store that has them for $249 but the only issue is I personally feel you need to look through what they have since they trade ins. I was in there a week or two ago when they got them in and looked at about 20 of them and had found three really nice ones. Seeing them is where I came up with the price on the one I swapped the work for. At first the guy wanted an additional $100 on top of the trade but after pointing out I could go buy one for $249 he agreed to the extra $40 and called it good. Said he didn't like it anyways
Very nice. I'm so glad we can show and talk about these kinds of things here, vs. "elsewhere". For fun- YouTube- "ATF goes big at Cheyenne Wells"- these are my boys. Big Bill has the 76 and a whoooole lot of other fun stuff. I helped with the sight mount for this, uses a system from an old German 88. Really cool. JB
Nice, great deal. I've had a number of Glocks and enjoyed them all. Currently have a G19 gen 3 with Crimson Trace grips. Traded a G22 gen 2 on it. Shot IDPA with a G27. I have had lots of kinds and brands but I like these PHD guns - "Push Here Dummy. "
Not a bad deal at all cert! Any of your glocks have trigger work? I like the feel of em but just cant past the factory trigger.
No trigger work on any of them however I have been contemplating it heavily. There is a Glock certified armorer that lives about 15 minutes from my house and I have felt his trigger that he reworked and it was impressive to say the least.
Get a load of this.......I shot the G19 today and thought it shot fine however I felt the trigger was slightly stiffer than my other Glocks. Anyhow I called Glock gave them the serial number and asked them if there was anything on this model that I should be concerned about. They said no not at all but feel free to box it up and send it to them and they will tear it down clean and inspect it and replace anything that is out of tolerance on the gun and send it back. I asked how much that service cost and they said it was free!!Said it would even come back with a certification showing everything was within spec!! How's that for customer service.
Sweet deal! Hey if you aint worried about turn around time, send it off! That's some pretty good customer service.
Thats why my first handgun is going to be a Glock 20. I know im crazy for wanting that but thats what I have always wanted.
10mm is a fine cartridge, just tougher to find ammo. I would suggest a companion in .22LR if it's to be your first. You'll shoot it a lot more, and only have to learn the recoil of the 10mm when you transition. 10mm has some poop to it, more fun with the .22 for extended range time. JB
Wife and I got permits a year ago, just got around to getting our first gun.. Something she can shoot as well.. 22 LR Sig Sauer Mosquito
